What you'll be solving
This puzzle features Utagawa Kuniyoshi's depiction of the classic tale of Tamatori-hime, the 'jewel-taking princess.' In the legend, the Dragon King stole a sacred jewel from the head of the Fujiwara clan. A local ama, in love with the clan leader's son, decides to reclaim the jewel. She lulls the king and his guards to sleep with music and flees with the jewel, but they soon wake and chase her. Realizing she cannot fight them all off, she cuts a hole in her chest and hides the pearl inside, saving the jewel but losing her life.
